How ordering and pickup work

How do I order?

Browse the menu, tap an item and choose Add to Cart, then tap Checkout. Enter your name, email and WhatsApp number, pick a pickup date and submit. Kat confirms the details with you on WhatsApp or by email.

When can I order, and how much notice is needed?

Any time — online ordering is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sourdough needs at least 2 days' notice. These can be ready the next day: Hamburger buns, Dinner Rolls, Italian Loaf, Slice of Citrus-Mango Pound cake, Slice of Lemon-Mora cake, Citrus-Mango Pound Cake and Lemon Mora Pound Cake — when everything in your order is from that list and you order by 6:00 PM. Orders placed after 6:00 PM count from the following day. The order form only shows dates that work for your cart.

When can I pick up?

Pickup is Monday to Saturday, 12:00 noon to 7:00 PM. You choose the day when you order, and Kat confirms the exact time with you on WhatsApp.

Where do I pick up? Do you deliver?

Pickup only — no delivery. Kat is in Santiago de Puriscal, San José, Costa Rica, and shares the exact pickup spot after you order. Customers come from up to about 160 km (100 mi) away.

How do I pay?

We accept SINPE Móvil, cash, bank transfer, Zelle, Cash App and Venmo. Pay when you pick up, or ahead of time by SINPE Móvil (the number is shown on the order page). For a bank transfer, ask Kat on WhatsApp for the account details.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes — message Kat on WhatsApp at +1 702-355-6840 as soon as you can. If you have an account, your orders are on the My orders page, with a button to message Kat about a change.

How long does the bread stay fresh?

Our sourdough has no preservatives. Keep it at room temperature in a paper bag for the first day or two; once it's sliced, plan to eat it within about 48 hours in humid weather. It freezes well — slice and freeze what you won't eat soon, then toast it straight from the freezer.

Is anything gluten-free?

No — everything is baked with wheat flour. Each menu item lists its ingredients (some include eggs, milk, butter, honey or seeds). If you have an allergy, ask Kat on WhatsApp before ordering.
